Our Mission

Catholic Community of Bloomfield Food Pantry (CCofBFP) is an organization dedicated to provide supplemental food to underserved residents of Bloomfield and surrounding communities. We are committed to creating a healthier and stronger community. Our volunteer efforts respect the dignity of those we serve and are an expression of the spiritual mission of our community.

History

The Food Pantry began on December 1st. 1993 at St. Joseph’s Church in Bloomfield. The Social Committee was approached by the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. They stated that some residents of the 15224 zip code were visiting other pantry locations in the area. They further stated that we should look into providing a pantry in the Bloomfield area.
